606-2 FOOD STAMP USE AT RETAILERS AND WHOLESALERS
Participating household members may use food stamp benefits at any retailer or wholesaler authorized by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service ( FNS ). Food stamp benefits are used to purchase eligible food for the household. For qualifying households, subsistence hunting and/or fishing equipment may also be purchased with food stamp benefits. The ID card designates households eligible to purchase subsistence hunting and/or fishing equipment. See MS 600-2 and MS 605-4B.
Retailers, wholesalers, shelters and homeless meal providers wanting to become authorized by FNS for food stamp redemption must contact FNS for authorization.
