This year Social Security announced a COLA increase effective January 1, 2013. The Family Medicaid standards are adjusted by the same percentage as the COLA increase in Social Security benefits. This year the COLA increase is 1.7%. We have incorporated the 2013 standards on the Addendum 2, which become effective with the benefit month of January 2013.
Other changes are either technical in nature or clarifications that are the result of policy questions or suggestions from the field.

Deleted first bullet that states both parents do not have to be included in the assistance unit if both live in the household. If both parents are in the household, both must be included in the case unless they are excluded for aonther reason such as receiving APA related Medicaid.

Updates program standards to reflect the COLA changes for 2013.
