The Self-Employment Annualization income standards are based upon the Federal Poverty Guidelines ( FPG ) for Alaska as set each year by the U.S. United States Department of Health and Human Services.  We have updated the charts in Addendum 1 and 2 to reflect these changes which take effect March 1, 2013.

Other changes are either technical in nature or clarifications that are the results of policy questions or suggestions from the field.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

MS 5104-4 D  NON-RELATED ADULT LISTED ON APPLICATION – OPT OUT NOT CHECKED  

• Adds a new subsection explaining what to do when non-related individual is listed on the application and the Medicaid Opt-Out box is not checked.

MS 5154-7     PROPERTY FOR SALE

• Clarifies what Actively Offered for Sale means.
• Adds a note to include internet web ads as classified options for selling property.

MS 5154-9     Workers’ Compensation Medicare Set Aside arrangements

• Adds a new subsection explaining the procedure when a Worker's Compensation Medicare Set Aside Account is submitted.

MS 5161-7     FOSTER CARE AND BOARDING HOME PAYMENTS

• Adds a note differentiating Therapeutic Foster Care payments from Regular Foster Care payments.

MS 5310 A    GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Clarifies the how to consider the needs of the unborn via MIBW coding on the last bullet.

MS 5320        PREGNANT WOMAN POSTPARTUM ELIGIBILITY

• Replaces the last word in the example with "income" instead of "circumstances".
