5172-3        RE-EVALUATION AFTER HOUSEHOLD FAILS INCOME TESTS

If the household fails either the Gross Income or the Net Income tests, the caseworker must examine the household situation to determine if the household includes an optional household member with income whose needs and income could be excluded.    If there is, the caseworker must inform the applicant of this fact.   The households’ gross and net income must be recomputed, and applied to both the Gross Income and Net Income tests.

Note:  

If the household still fails, the caseworker must determine if eligibility exists for the child(ren) under the DKC Denali KidCare category.  See Addendum - 1.
