5172-1        COMPUTING ELIGIBILITY TEST INCOME

 

The household size is the total number of individuals included in the household. Once the incomes of each member of the household are identified, exempt incomes are disregarded, and the gross countable monthly incomes of all members of the household are added together.  Cents are kept in the calculation.

 

Note:  

If deprivation is based on the unemployment of a parent and both of the child's parents are included in the FM case, both parents are considered to be specified relatives.   This is the only situation in which more than one specified relative may be included in the household.
