105-3 DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE
When verification is required, case workers use documentary evidence as the primary source of verification. Documentary evidence consists of written confirmation of a household's circumstances. Examples of documentary evidence include:
Bank statements;
Birth certificates;
Wage stubs;
Rent receipts; and
Utility bills.
Although documentary evidence is the primary source of verification, acceptable verification will not be limited to a single document or source. Whenever documentary evidence cannot be obtained, the case worker may use alternate sources of verification such as collateral contacts and home visits. In all cases, the method of verification is recorded in the case record.
