Several sections of the Administrative Procedures Manual have been revised. Highlights of the revisions are described below.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES
101 The Application Process
- 101-1 (Definitions) Adds definition for "assistance unit."
- 101-6 (Assisting Applicants with Incomplete Applications) Adds new subsection C to this section to clarify that division staff can provide assistance in completing applications when needed.
103 Case Files
- 103-1A (General Rules for Creating Case File Folder) Changes "DKC" to MAGI Medicaid only cases.
- 103-1C (The Organization of Two-Part File Folder) Changes "DKC" to MAGI Medicaid only for two-part file folders and removes GEN 132 for DKC applications.
- 103-6B (Records Storage Overview) Change the word from "contractors" to "providers" when cases management files are received from Work Services.
104 Statewide Process Management
- 104-1A (Offices Participating in First Contact Resolution) An update and removes of some exceptions that were previously granted to other offices.
- 104-1B (Receiving Calls and Paperwork) An update to the way each office will handle incoming paperwork and/or phone calls and to the way each office will handle incoming paperwork and how it's received, i.e. mail in/drop off, in person, scanned, faxed, emailed.
- 104-1C (Applications, Add-to-Programs and Reapplications (GEN 72)) Updates the instruction for handling applications, add to programs and re-applications for each office, identifying the procedures depending on how the paperwork, applications and GEN 72s are received.
- 104-1D (Pended Applications) Allows for sending out of pended applications to the "home" offices.
- 104-1E (Denying for Failure to Provide) Updates the procedure to identify which office is responsible for failure to provide the information.
- 104-1F (No Show) Updates information on when to send the paperwork out to the "home" offices.
- 104-1H (Recertification and Reviews) Updates processing and handling information for each office depending on how the paperwork is received.
- 104-1I (Reports of Change) Updates processing information depending on how the paperwork is received.
- 104-1J (Pended Information) Identifies the steps/procedures for each office and also allows for sending off the pended information to the "home" offices depending on how the paperwork is received.
- 104-1K (Other Reminders) Updates procedures.
105 Verification of Information
- 105-1 (Verification of Information) Clarifies that out-of-state benefits must be verified when Alaska residency is questionable or when an individual moves to Alaska and receives benefits in another state.
