555 A.      COUPLES

A couple who has continuously resided together in the same institution for six months or both lived at home and both received home and community based (HCB ) waiver services for six months, may have their income and resources considered as a couple or as separate individuals - whichever scenario would most benefit the recipients.

555 B.      INDIVIDUALS UNDER 21

For an individual under 21 who isIndividualized Supports institutionalized for disability (e.g., a child residing in a nursing home), or who is approved for HCBHome and Community-Based waiver services under the Special Long Term Care category, the eligibility and post-eligibility determination processes are the same as those for an institutionalized adult.
