We have updated the Senior Benefits Program manual to include a citizenship requirement in response to a change in State Statute.  We also updated the income section to include guidance about how to prospect ANCSAAlaska Native Claim Settlement Act Dividend payments.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

320        FACTORS OF ELIGIBILITY

• Added citizenship to the factors of eligibility.

324        CITIZENSHIP

• Added a chapter for the new citizenship requirements that are effective July 1, 2016 due to a change in State Statute.

330-2 E.  ANCSAAlaska Native Claim Settlement Act DISTRIBUTIONS

• Added a new subsection which clarifies that ANCSAAlaska Native Claim Settlement Act distributions are countable income for the Senior Benefits Program and how to prospect the income.

360-3 A.   SUSPENSION

• Deleted a repetitive note for clarity.

360-3 B.   TERMINATION

• Deleted a sentence in the note that refers to a uncompleted work request that is no longer planned.
