812-5        PROCEDURES FOR EXCHANGING INFORMATION

 

812-5 A.   APPLICATION MATERIALS TO CSSDChild Support Services Division

 

When Medicaid eligibility is determined and a new case opened, the following materials, if provided to the DPADivision of Public Assistance, must be sent to CSSDChild Support Services Division within two working days, unless the applicant has claimed good cause. These materials should be fastened together into a single packet:

 

 

 

 

Note:

These documents are not required as a condition of eligibility; however, providing them at the time of application may help to expedite enforcement. The applicant should be encouraged to provide these documents whenever possible so they can be included in the packet of documents sent to CSSDChild Support Services Division.

 

812-5 B.   INFORMATION FROM DPADivision of Public Assistance TO CSSDChild Support Services Division

 

In addition to normal data system exchange of information, the ETEligibility Technician must inform CSSDChild Support Services Division of the following information:

 

 

 

When a parent or guardian decides to cooperate and completes the necessary CSSDChild Support Services Division forms, mail the forms to CSSDChild Support Services Division.

 

812-5 C.   INFORMATION FROM CSSDChild Support Services Division TO DPADivision of Public Assistance

 

CSSDChild Support Services Division provides DPADivision of Public Assistance with the following types of information through direct communication or EISEligibility Information System alerts:

 

1.  Report of a child support collection/distribution.  

 

2.  Notice of non-cooperation;

 

3.  Notice that the parent/caretaker relative has cooperated;

 

4.  Request to review good cause decisions;

 

5.  Medicaid eligibility information, if it differs from DPADivision of Public Assistance 's case file; and

 

6.  Requests for case information not captured by the data system.

 

The ETEligibility Technician must act on each CSSDChild Support Services Division report of change within 10 days.
